Marion Jackson and Pamela De Zilva Birding on Sulawesi and Halmahera

Birding Period : August 29th - September 21st, 2011

The Vacation Indonesia Tours organised the Sulawesi and Halmahera Birding Tours for Marion Jackson and Pamela De Zilva, Australian Birders, starting from August 29th,2011 to Sept 21st, 2011. The trip starting point in Manado then Tangkoko for a few days then flight to Palu on fist of September. Arrive in Palu then drive to Lore Lindu for about 6 days. The next visit to Ternate and  Halmahera for about 7 days the return to Manado for a gate to visit Dumoga Bone National Park included Tambun the Maleo site, Torout forest, Tapakolintang and Gunung Ambang. The trip last visit to Gunung Mahawu. About 220  species of birds of Sulawesi and Halmahera include the endemics  and rare species of Sulawesi and Halmahera they’ve seen, such as olive flanked-whistler, purple bearded-bee eater, Sulawesi dwarf-kingfishers etc. Please Read the  comments of Marion Jackson on this site by click the Testimonial.
